Created at DePatie–Freleng by Friz Freleng, David DePatie, and layout artist Hawley Pratt, the character’s sleek pastel design matched his cool, wordless charm. The color strikes a balance—vibrant enough to catch the eye yet soft enough to feel refined—and helped propel the Pink Panther from a title sequence to an Oscar-winning debut short and an enduring cultural icon.
