Hued is a daily color puzzle that challenges you to match the colors found throughout our world. Along the way, you’ll discover their subtleties, nuances, and real-world associations. Each day, one color is selected, and your goal is to match it as closely as possible in three guesses.
Getting Started
When you open Hued, you’ll see a color circle with today’s target color displayed below it. The color that appears at the start is a random starting point. You can drag the circle to adjust the color using two key attributes: Hue and Saturation. Each puzzle also has a set Lightness value, which is fixed and cannot be changed.
Adjust the hue by dragging the circle left or right.
To adjust the Hue, drag the color circle left or right. Hue refers to the type of color—such as red, blue, yellow, or green. As you move horizontally, the color shifts around the spectrum, allowing you to explore a full range of hues.
Adjust the saturation by dragging the circle up or down.
To adjust the Saturation, drag the circle up or down. Saturation controls how vivid or muted a color appears. Dragging upward increases intensity, while dragging downward brings the color closer to gray.
Press the crosshairs to activate Fine-Tune Mode.
When you need greater precision, activate Fine-Tune mode. Your original color will appear on the left side of the circle, allowing you to make subtle adjustments and compare more easily as you work toward an exact match.
Three guesses. One new color every day. Can you match the hue?
